The president of the Government of Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, expressed his thanks to Isaac Díaz Pardo for his generosity in transferring his legacy to the City of Culture of Galicia, ratifying the commitment of the Xunta to disseminate it "from Galicia to the world". "The future of this legacy, that he built up always thinking of Galicia, will be forever preserved in what is undoubtedly one of the cultural infrastructures with greatest international projection, in Galicia and Spain".

The board of trustees of the Foundation of the City of Culture of Galicia adopts the appointment of Ms Beatriz González Loroño as managing director upon proposal by the Galician minister for Culture and Tourism

Beatriz González Loroño has been appointed today managing director of the Foundation of the City of Culture of Galicia. The decision was adopted by the members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of the City of Culture of Galicia upon a proposal by the Chairman of the Board, the Galician Minister for Culture & Tourism, Mr Roberto Varela. Ms Beatriz González Loroño replaces Ms Silvia Domínguez Skegro, who resigned for family reasons.

An exhibition on the City of Culture of Galicia and its author Peter Eisenman to enhance the guided tours to the works

With the exhibition Peter Eisenman. A Cidade a new recourse is available for the Program of Guided Tours to the Works 2010. The exhibition has been designed by its curator, Manuel Blanco, as an Interpretation Center contributing towards a better understanding of the complexity and architectural values of the City of Culture of Galicia.

A Galician firm is awarded the Saint Gobain Trophy for its work at the Library of the City of Culture of Galicia

The firm Plaintec, based in Tui, has been awarded the Saint Gobain Trophy for its work at the Library of the City of Culture of Galicia. The prize was awarded in the category of laminated gypsum, the section where most countries competed, with a total of 22.
