Since the project took off in 1999, there has been uneven progress in the rhythm of the works, which although quite advanced in the auxiliary buildings, are not due to be fully completed until the end of the year 2012.

Completed works are those corresponding to the excavation and levelling of the terrain, to the construction of the Service Gallery, the Mechanical Plant and the John Hejduk towers. The completion of the works for the Newspaper Archive of Galicia, the gallery and the technical and co-generation centre is expected for this very year of 2006.
